How much does is cost to hire a piper?
Pricing can vary based on the service and how far Duncan would need to travel for the performance. For funeral services, you can expect the price to be between $200-$400. Weddings or other events are usually between $400-$600. Duncan is more than happy to provide a quote for any performance.
How far are you willing to travel?
Duncan is usually willing to travel within 120 miles of his home in Western Massachusetts. He frequently performs in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, and New York.
Can you recommend other experienced pipers in the event you are already booked?
Absolutely! Duncan has a vast network of pipers across New England. In the event that Duncan is already booked on a day you need a piper, Duncan will reach out to other pipers in the area to make sure you get a piper for your event.
What do you wear for your performances?
Duncan always wears traditional highland attire for his performances. This includes a kilt, sporran, jacket, tie, piper's socks, flashes, ghillie brogues, and a glengarry. Duncan has the following tartans available for his performances: Royal Stewart, Macbeth Modern, and County Galway.
